Seven Ways to Eat Well
The names stay; the picks change. Two are featured each fortnight — the rest rotate in.
This Week’s Tables
Two meals we’d put on the table this week — the makings gathered, the saving on us.
When we open, this is where the week’s tables will live: a couple of complete meals, pulled together from the counters and the shelves, with a little off when you take the whole table. Here’s the idea.
The Pasta-Night Table
Friday, and nobody wants to think. Penne with edges that catch the sauce, Bono’s tomatoes cooked down to almost nothing, a hunk of Parmigiano you’ll grate too much of. Bread to wipe the bowl. Twenty minutes, four happy people.
Applied at the till for members. Feeds four.
The Cheese-Board Table
Some nights the answer is a board and a bottle. Three cheeses — one soft, one blue, one to chip at — with crackers, a spoon of honey, figs, and a scatter of Marcona almonds. Pour the red, put it in the middle of the table, let everyone reach.
Applied at the till for members. A board for four.
